Reviewing the Top 6 Tools by EditPad
Before reviewing this toolkit, various members of our team have tested different tools on it. In total, there are more than 30 tools on EditPad. Reviewing all of them in a single post is not possible, so today we are only going to talk about six of its major tools. Those that caught our attention at first glance are also commonly used among the public.
1. Online Notepad

This is what Editpad is known for – the online notepad that you can use for keeping your notes. This notepad comes with basic text formatting features. Plus, users can also save the notes to access them again in the future.
Besides typing in the text manually, users can also upload files to it. Regarding formats, we tried uploading both Docs and PDF files, and all are supported by the tool.
Pros | Cons |
Users can access it online regardless of location and device. The tool is multilingual, which means you can both type text and upload files in other languages. Autosaves the text types in. Allows downloading the notes as a TXT file. | Not collaborative. |
2. Humanize AI Text

Those who are involved in any sort of online writing understand the importance of this tool. You might be thinking of it as an assistant to humanize AI text.
But that was not the only case.
This tool is what you can use to bring simplicity to your texts and eliminate the robotic voice. Why? To make things easy to understand for readers.
To test the efficiency of the tool, we provided it with a text that sounded robotic. We humanized it using the basic mode of the tool. Below is what we got in the output while doing that.

See the above output for yourself and compare the input text with the text in the output box. For us, the output texts seem more human and easier to read. But we expect more improvement in sentence structure.
Pros | Cons |
Eliminates robotic phrases.Make the texts feel more human and easier to read.Has good accuracy in understanding the context. | Sentence structure is not very good.Free users can only humanize 700 words at a time (we expected more.)Premium users also have a text submission limit (up to 2000 in one go.) |
3. Email Writer

Writing emails is always a challenge. But this tool makes it easy with its customizable input options (Type, Tone, Language.) When we are using this tool, we like to go into ‘Advanced Options’ and set the sender and receiver name to personalize the message.
The Email Writer also categorizes between ‘Composing New Email’ and ‘Reply to Email.’ So, we can send the best messages according to the situation at hand.

As you can see from the above example, Email Writer quickly creates the message for us with least effort. Now, we can modify the text as per our requirements by using the options in the right-hand panel.
Pros | Cons |
Users can access it online regardless of location and device. The tool provides high- customizability for emails.Gives multiple versions of emails to help choose the right words for the right occasion.Allows one-click optimization for user convenience. | Can load a bit slow sometimes, especially if you are using advanced options.Too many ads can become annoying. |
4. Story Generator

Stories are great to motivate and captivate an audience. However, writing them from scratch is just too tiring and gruesome.
This is where Editpad Story Generator comes in. It helps us put our ideas into perspective, allowing readers to connect with our words.
Just like other tools on the list, this one also allows customization based on ‘Story Length, Type, Creativity, and Age Group.’ To get started, you can try the sample first and move on from there.

You can see for yourself the output text is quite impressive. The story has a decent plot and character development, which can later be edited for perfection. You can also download a text file, allowing easy editing of the story.
Pros | Cons |
Quickly creates interesting narratives.Make the texts feel natural and engaging.Has good accuracy in understanding the context of the input parameters. | Follows a generic writing style for all types of stories. Not suitable for creating longer narrations (more than 1000 words.)No option to download the content as a DOC or PDF file. |
5. Plagiarism Checker

Plagiarism checkers are also among other essential tools for those involved in writing. The Editpad’s plagiarism checker is what is claimed to be an authentic one. Using it, one can easily check whether the content they have written is unique or if it has some unintentional plagiarism.
To test how reliable the tool is, we copied a paragraph from a published article and ran it through the checker. Below are the results that we obtained while performing this test.

As you can see in the above image, the tool flagged the content as plagiarized and presented the same source from which we copied the article. Do not know why it has marked 6.73% unique but has highlighted all the content. Maybe it is a glitch.
Pros | Cons |
Supports multiple formats (DOCX, TXT, etc.)Multilingual, can detect plagiarism in texts over 10+ languages.Highlights sources and matched text for easy review. No login required for basic checks (up to 1000 words.) | Free users can only check for up to 1000 words at a time.Slightly slow when checking longer documents. |
6. Paraphrasing Tool

The next thing that caught our attention on EditPad was its paraphrasing tool. This tool is a gem for those who are struggling with bringing in clarity and tone uniformity in their texts. Using the tool, they can rephrase their text in twelve different styles.
Among its twelve modes, the first four (Simple, Standard, Reworder, and Formal) are available for free to some extent. The rest of the modes are for free users only.
To assess the efficiency of the tool, we provided it with some text that we think requires improvement regarding its tone. We wanted to bring in smoothness, so we chose the mode “Smooth” for rephrasing our text. Below is the output we got at that time.

See the above image for yourself. Doesn’t the output content in the above image feel more uniform and easier to read? To us, the output text feels far better than the input text, and that is why we call this tool a gem for users.
Pros | Cons |
Offers different paraphrasing modes to suit various writing needs.Good for improving fluency and sentence clarity.Keeps the meaning intact. | Free users can only paraphrase up to 1000 words at a time.Word choice can feel robotic (sometimes.) |
Pricing Plans
Although Editpad is free to use for basic features, you will need to upgrade to paid packages to further elevate your user experience.

There are three different paid plans for weekly, monthly, and yearly tenure. Each plan has 3 packages that grants access to more AI words, faster experience, 24/7 chat support, etc.
For instance, the AI writing assistant bundle starts at $7.99 per month. It removes all basic restrictions on user for paraphrasing tool, story generator, and other tools. Thus, allowing more professionalism and sharpness in work.
Bottom Line
The EditPad toolkit proves to be more than just an online notepad. With tools like those discussed above, it offers real value for many users. While there are some limitations for free users, the features and ease of use make it worth trying. Especially if you’re looking for quick, accessible solutions to common tasks like writing and content optimization.
